Leaving On A Jet Plane

Ruben Patterson has been put on the inactive list and sent back to Portland for the remaining 6 games of the current road trip. As per John Nash:

"Ruben Patterson has been placed on the inactive list and sent home to Portland for the rest of this road trip for his behavior both on and off the court.

We will not tolerate this type of behavior from any player. We will continue to demand a higher level of professionalism and personal responsibility from all of our players or we will continue to take appropriate action."

Great move Nash, now find someone to unload the Rube on quick, but not for Jerome James. No way the Blazers need one of the most overpaid guys in the league. Any ideas? Where are you expiring contracts?

Well, I took at good look at the expiring contracts this year and heres what I came up with.
1.To Houston for David Wesley and Jon Barry.
We get two deep threats and class acts for Rube. Jon loves to push the ball and is no nosense. David just hits threes.
both expiring.
2.To Orlando for Tony Battie and Stacey Augman.
Tony is a DEFENSIVE PF with great hops and plasticman gets to end his career in Portland(Stacey just makes the numbers work) both expiring.
both of these really does nothing but bring some stable vets to teach the kids and frees up some PT.
Well, its a shot.

Any way to get rid of Ruben without taking anything else on would be fine by me. The first trade you throw out there would be great, as veteren ball handling and 3 point shooting are no where to be found on the current roster. Great work my non-Norse brother. Anything, and I mean anything, would be better than taking on Jerome James. I just about spit up my cocoa when I read that.
